Many variables can affect the severity of scarring, including the size and depth of the wound, the blood supply to the area, the thickness and color of your skin, and the direction of the scar. How much the a scar bothers you is, of course, a personal matter.

While no scar removal can be 100%, Dr Berens can vastly improve the appearance of a scar, making it less obvious through surgical procedures known as scar revisions.

Scar revision treatments can be combined with other procedures, depending on the type, location, and severity of the scar. Dr. Berens will discuss with you which procedure or combination of procedures may best suit your specific needs.
